Steel Magnolias

Cast of Characters:
-Truvy............Salon Owner, funny and loving (mid to late 30's)
-Annelle..........Bashful Beautician in training (20's to early 30's)
-Ms. Clairee......Very rich southern woman, lighthearted (50's - 70's)
-Shelby...........The prettiest girl in town (late teens - 20's)
-M'lynn...........Shelby's​ mother, worrisome but sweet (40's or so)
-Ms. Ouiser......The old crotchety fuddy duddy, very rich and funny! (50's - 70's)

Audition dates and times:
Friday, March 16th 6:00pm-8:00pm
Saturday, March 17th 2:00-4:00pm OR 6:00-8:00pm

Auditions will be held at the East Hawaii Cultural Center.

**STUFF TO BRING**
-Comfortable clothes, we move on stage. So, come feeling cozy and comfy.
-Water and maybe a little snack for yourself (if you need it).

** Audition materials will be provided, so no need to have anything prepared, just come ready to have fun.***

SHOW OFF: AGAIN
Starring Amy Horst Yamasaki

Get your tickets for "Show Off: AGAIN" starring Amy Horst Yamasaki with pianists Pedro Ka'awaloa and Dove Harline. Local vocalist Amy Horst Yamasaki along with Pedro Ka'awaloa and Dove Harline are collaborating once again in this revamped concert series, taking on classical and contemporary pieces, as well as original pieces written by Mr. Ka'awaloa. If you missed it last time, don't miss it again.

It's "Show off: AGAIN" Saturday, June 4th at 7:30pm at the East Hawaii Cultural Center. Tickets are $8.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door, and are available at Basically Books, Kea'au Natural Foods, and the East Hawaii Cultural Center starting May 16th.

A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Puna Men's Chorus.

"SHOW OFF"
STARRING AMY YAMASAKI

Tickets are on sale NOW for "Show Off" starring Amy Yamasaki with pianists Pedro Ka'awaloa and Dove Harline. This concert will feature an eclectic mix of songs ranging from early classical pieces to modern cabaret numbers and some contemporary selections, including some original compositions by Pedro Ka’awaloa.

Shows are on Nov. 19th at 7:30pm and Nov. 21st at 2:00pm at the East Hawaii Cultural Center. Tickets are $10 General and $8 Students/Seniors/EHCC Members and are available at Basically Books, Kea'au Natural Foods, and the East Hawaii Cultural Center.

AUDITIONS:
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

Safety Pin Productions announces auditions for Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. This show will be set in the 1970's with disco in full swing and promises to be nothing short of fun, fun, fun comedy. The cast is large and we need lots of actors.

Auditions will be held at the East Hawaii Cultural Center on Saturday, October 9th and Sunday, October 10th from 6:00pm until about 8:00pm.



Audition materials will be provided. No phony British accent required.

UPDATES:
BOARDWALK MELODY HOUR MURDERS

It has been brought to our attention that there is no start time printed on the tickets for "Boardwalk Melody Hour Murders". The show time is 7:30pm for all shows.

Also, it has been brought to our attention that people are looking to purchase tickets for the Thursday night "Pay What You Can" show on September 23rd. You DO NOT need a ticket for this show. (You will need a ticket for all of the other shows.) All you need to do is show up at the door, and "pay us what you can." Again, seating is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis for this show so get there early.

We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion.

Don't forget. If you just want to see "Boardwalk Melody Hour Murders", Thursday, September 23rd will be "Pay What You Can" Nite (NO dinner included). Just... pay us what you can and help us keep the arts alive. Seating will be limited and is on a first come, first serve basis. So make sure you get there early. Hope to see you there.

*If you want to have the full dinner theatre experience, we encourage you to purchase a ticket for any of the other performances of "Boardwalk Melody Hour Murders". Tickets are available at Basically Books in Downtown Hilo. (You do not need a ticket for "Pay What You Can Nite")
